Sinders Bridal House

Our story

Meet Meghan and Stacey, the sister duo behind Sinders Bridal.

If you follow on social, you’ll already know that they live every day immersed in wedding gowns, with a side passion of sisterly hyjinx that keeps the Sinders team, and the Sinders family of brides, entertained and informed.

Having both been in the wedding industry since they were 16 years old, they’ve learned a lot. So naturally many years, a few different jobs, a couple kids, and some travels later – when the opportunity arose for Meghan and Stacey to take over the bridal shop, it wasn’t a question of if, but rather how soon!

“Loving what you do every day, loving not just the fashion aspect, but the emotional aspect, and the family that has been created with brides over the years is one thing that will never change for us. It’s what we do – it’s who we are.” – Stacey, Owner Sinders

Fast forward through renovations, designer changes and too many laughs and tears to count, Sinders has grown to be the shop where every bride is welcomed. Every bride can feel accepted. Every bride can feel heard. The place where you come in looking for a wedding gown, but leave feeling confident, powerful, and beautiful. Taking this knowledge with you into your daily life and empowering others.

Sinders has been an extension of their family, not just in the sense that it’s a family-owned business, but that the team and the brides become a part of the family. It’s more than a business. It’s more than a 9 to 5. It’s an extra part of themselves that they’ve molded and watched grow for almost a decade while simultaneously growing themselves and raising their own children.

We have been looking for the perfect spot to open our second location and we can finally say we found one in downtown Peterborough. Meghan lived in Peterborough through school, and we found such wonderful similarities between this city and the town we call home in Carleton Place, these are just a couple of the reasons we picked this beautiful space. The new boutique is on the busy corner of George and Hunter with incredible natural light flowing through the floor to ceiling windows – perfect for showing off that sparkle in your gown. Our new manager and assistant manager were born and raised in the area, and we know they’ll do everything they can to ensure your appointment will be memorable. We can’t wait for you to book your appointment so we can help you find your gown.

If you don’t yet follow on social, consider picking one of our platforms to join. We promise you’ll have fun with us!
